The stage is set for March 13, 2010 at the Grand Theatre to see performance painter David Garibaldi. (click on this link to see David create his masterpiece) Board Member Gale Davis says “I have seen David’s show before and I cannot believe we are lucky enough to have him perform in Tracy, this is a show you do not want to miss….David’s work is amazing!”

David came to the Boys & Girls Club Auction Gala by a chance meeting with board member Linda Turner and her husband Keena. They saw David perform for a 49er Foundation event and knew we had to have David be our entertainment this year. “He is simply amazing and one of the best shows I have ever seen,” says Linda, “David was so amazing, I ran and had my children come watch him, and they loved him!”

David will perform a 30-45 minute show and will auction off four painting that he will paint live in front of the audience. Take our survey to let us know who you think David should paint at our Auction Gala.

Auction Procurement Chairperson, Diane Colacino says “We will have fewer auction items this year than we have in the past. We are focused on our Super Silent items that will be top end experiences and we are making our Silent Auction packages bigger and nicer this year and we will just have less of them. We hope to have about 50 really great items along with the four painting that David will produce during the show.

Auction Chairs, Kelly Wilson and Kelly Knight Low are excited about changes for this year’s Auction. “In the past, our ticket prices were $135 and we know that it is not a great year for any of us, so we are rolling prices back to $75 each. This will include buffet style dinner, hosted bar, David’s show and of course, Silent and Live Auctions. We also hope to have some our own Boys & Girls Club Artists sell some of their creations along with a meet the Artist time at the Auction this year,” says Wilson. “The Auction Committee is working overtime to make this our best ever Auction,” say Low, “we are so excited to have David as our entertainment this year and we are excited to feature our club member’s art too.” “It will be a really fun night out for our guests and it all supports such a great cause.”
