Boys & Girls Clubs of Tracy-Include Me Program

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Tracy is honored to serve children in our community with disabilities. We live in an ever changing world and we are always striving to BE GREAT. We know that trust is a key factor for parents to give us the opportunity to care for their child. We have been serving youth with disabilities for over 10 years and have had GREAT success.

We know that many special needs children live excluded from non-disabled peers and we want to open our doors to them. Children with disabilities are usually in some type of special education program during their school hours. They do not usually share the same lunch hours or recesses with other students that are not disabled. After school they are bussed home to be with their families or guardians without any social activities to enjoy with others kids their age.

We have the answer, switch that bus route to Boys & Girls Clubs of Tracy, Lowell Avenue Clubhouse and let your child build friendships and positive relationships with peers their own age. Our “motto” is “BE GREAT” but in reality we can’t “be great” if not given the opportunity to do so.

Monday through Friday you can catch a glimpse of smiles at work in our Inclusion Room. Your child can come 1 to 3 times a week or even come every day. Their duration at the Club can range from 1 to 5 hours. Many members need some form of assistance while others do just fine on there own. We offer a wide range of age appropriate activities/programs for our youth.

Our Inclusion room is open everyday and offers a wide variety of activities:

  • Sport Leagues designed to meet the need
  • Power Hour (A daily homework group)
  • Health and Life Skills ( building the skills your child may need)
  • Simplified Cooking Class (a fun simple cooking class to learn some basic skills)
  • Arts & Crafts ( creativity at work)
  • Games & Tournaments (this includes all rooms in our facility)
  • Field Trips (5 to 10 times a year)
  • “WINGS" Program (building positive relationships with peers)
  • Daily Nutritional Snacks ( free snack is given to your child daily)
  • Teen Room (transitional support when your child becomes a teen)
